Jacinto ReyJacinto Rey was born in Vigo (Spain) in 1972. After completing his studies of Economics in Spain and the UK, he has worked for several multinational companies. Polyglot and widely travelled, he has lived for the past two decades in France and Germany.

His first novel, El cirujano de Las Indias, published in 2007, highlights the contradictions of the Spanish colonization in America. In 2009 he made his first foray into crime fiction with El último cliente, which starts the series with Amsterdam police inspector Cristina Molen (other books: El hombre de El Cairo and La máscara del dragón). Dile a Marie que la quiero is his sixth novel.
